OPCS operates a free ambulance service for transporting the deceased bodies of overseas Pakistanis
from any international airport to their hometown anywhere across Pakistan without charging a single
penny.
It is the sole responsibility/obligation of the employer to bear the cost of conveying the dead body of his
deceased employee (Ops) to his homeland but if it does not work that way or the heirs of the person
cannot afford the cost, the respective Pakistan mission abroad undertake the responsibility.
The PIA transports the dead body free of cost from that country to Pakistan by dint of drudgery of OPCS.
- The legal heirs of the deceased person are required to appoint a person whom they trust in that country
to pursue the transportation after procuring NOC from the concerned consulate/embassy.
Following documents are required for the OPCS processing:-
• Flight number
• Date of departure
• Time of arrival
• Person of contact in Pakistan
• Detail Address of hometown
